our little ones
In the kindergarten there are no “learning mistakes”.
The aim of the kindergarten is to help each child keep his place in the team and to express himself in a socially acceptable way. We follow the analytical programme of using the interactive books in Language and Mathematics for first grade, and activities created primarily to promote the interests and strengths of the children.
The learning areas that are covered are:
Morning Programme (8:30a.m – 13: 15 pm)
- Development of social awareness
- Music / Music and Movement
- Theatre studies
- Puppet Theatre Studies
- Physical Education
- English using the CLIL method
- Educational board games or educational computer games for young children
- Dining Hall – Healthy eating habits
The afternoon programme (3:15 pm – 5:15 pm) includes:
- Theatre Studies
- Music: Individual lessons in piano, guitar or drums.
The afternoon programme is enriched every year and may change in accordance with the interests and potential of the students. The parents discuss with their child what he or she has achieved at school every day using the diary.
There is a psychologist, mental health advisor and a play therapist to offer support to children and parents alike.
There is a transition programme in place starting every February, once a week between the kindergarten and the first class of primary school, coordinated by the teachers of each class.
